This cosy two-bedroom self-catering holiday cottage is set on our working Herdwick sheep farm situated in the picturesque Wasdale valley within the Lake District National Park. The cottage is set on the shores of Wastwater and offers stunning views of the lake and the surrounding fells. It is the perfect starting point for numerous Wainwright walks including Scafell Pike, Yewbarrow, Great Gable and Illgill Head, which can all be started from the doorstep. Very easy access to the lake for paddleboarding, kayaking and wild swimming.
The holiday cottage comprises two double bedrooms and a bathroom upstairs, with an open plan kitchen and lounge downstairs featuring a slate floor and wood burner. There is an outdoor seating and dining area with lovely views of the lake, which makes a perfect place to watch the sunset.
There is free WiFi internet access available at the cottage. However, mobile signal is limited depending on the network. This means we are in the ideal location to unwind from the stresses of day to day life.
